About us

We are a small company based in Kendal, just south of the Lake District. Being small means you'll always get a personalised and unique experience and all of our guides are fully qualified Mountain Leaders (summer and winter) and hold outdoor specialist first aid certificates. We have years of experience walking, climbing and running in the mountains of the UK and further afield, and so you can rest assured that you'll be safe in experienced hands. We enjoy nothing more than spending time in the outdoors, so we love being able to share this as an experience as well as passing on knowledge, and also teaching clients if they wish, in how to progress and enjoy activities independently in the best and safest way. Enjoying beautiful and wild places whilst minimising environmental impact is very important in our approach to mountaineering and leading and we aim to inspire people and show you the hidden gems tourist routes miss.

Having lived close to the Lake District and visited family in the Scottish Highlands from a young age Imogen became a very keen walker straight away!
